Dragon Select is a competitive softball program open to all girls 8U and up that participated in the Johnston Girls Little League Softball program this spring.
Tryouts will be held during the weeks of June 25th and July 9th.

The JGSA clinics committee has been busy putting together several learning opportunities for players and coaches. Throughout the month of May, JGSA will be offering the following clinics:
1. JGSA Coaches Clinic taught by JHS varsity softball head coach, Todd Merical - May 2nd, 6-7:30PM, JHS Varsicty Softball Field.
2. JGSA Hitting Clinic taught by former JHS baseball hitting coordinator, Jake Ernd - May 14th, 5:30-7pm, Dragon Select Indoor Facility
3. JGSA Advanced Catching Clinic - this is a reschedule session and is intended for girls with 1-2 years of catching experience OR those that attended the Catching Fundamentals Clinic. May 10th, 17th, & 25th 5:30-7:30PM at the Dragon Select Indoor Facility

The Johnston Girls Softball Association is dedicated to the purpose of providing the youth and families of our community with exciting and rewarding experiences through the game of softball. Our mission is to provide opportunities for those of all skill levels to learn the fundamentals of softball in a positive and safe environment, with a strong focus on skill development, sportsmanship and teamwork. Our goal is to support each of our players by providing the resources and playing opportunities necessary to reach their potential and individual goals within the sport.

JGSA policy is to cancel games and practices if the feels like temperature is below 47 degrees. We do allow some leeway to this rule and the ultimate decision is up to the Officer of the Day. Any cancellations will be communicated via the rainoutline and decisions will be made by 4 pm daily.
